Reprinted from "INSULATORS - Crown Jewels of the Wire", October 1977, page 2
I am thirty-three years old and work as a District Manager for Ohio Bell
Telephone Company. I have been with Ohio Bell for thirteen years. My
wife, Carol, and I have two boys, David (8) and Robert (7); and we have lived in
North Olmsted, a western suburb of Cleveland, for six years.
We have been
collecting about five years. Carol specializes in CD 121, and my favorites are
CD 162 Hemingrays.
My involvement in the hobby, outside of being an active
collector, consists of hosting three Great Lakes Insulator shows, organizing a
Cleveland chapter of the Ohio Valley Insulator Club, and hosting the 7th
National at Berea, Ohio in l976. In addition, Carol and I set up as dealers at
about ten shows a year, usually within a 500 mile radius of Cleveland.
I will be
devoting most of my time this year to developing some OPEN communications
between the members of the NIA (National Insulator Association) and the
executive board. I hope to hear from you--your comments are always welcome.
Write John at: 4592 Andorra Dr., North Olmsted, OH 44070.
